GMV desarrollará el centro de control en tierra de los nuevos satélites de Hisdesat

Hisdesat, el operador de satélites gubernamentales adjudica el proyecto del segmento terreno para los dos nuevos satélites del programa SPAINSAT NG, que estará ubicado en la localidad madrileña de Hoyo de Manzanares.

El operador español de satélites gubernamentales Hisdesat ha adjudicado a la multinacional española GMV la construcción y desarrollo del segmento terreno de los satélites del programa SPAINSAT NG.

Estos dos nuevos satélites, cuyo lanzamiento está previsto para 2024 y 2025 respectivamente, sustituirán a los actuales SpainSat y XTAR-EUR mejorando exponencialmente sus prestaciones y capacidades.

La estación principal de control y seguimiento estará ubicada en la localidad madrileña de Hoyo de Manzanares e incorporará las tecnologías más punteras para dar servicio a los SpainSat NG, los satélites más avanzados de Europa en el campo de la defensa y comunicaciones seguras. La estación redundante estará ubicada en la Estación Espacial de Maspalomas del INTA.

GMV se responsabilizará en primer lugar de la integración de todos los sistemas y subsistemas y de los servicios horizontales que gestionarán desde tierra los dos SpainSat NG.

La multinacional también acometerá el despliegue de los centros de control, que estarán equipados con las tecnologías más avanzadas, especialmente, en el sistema de control de la carga útil de telecomunicaciones. Este sistema resulta especialmente complejo en satélites definidos por software como los SpainSat NG.

Además, se ocupará del desarrollo y puesta en marcha del sistema encargado de la supervisión de la carga útil de los satélites en sus diferentes bandas (X, Ka y UHF).

Hisdesat convocó el pasado mes de junio un concurso internacional para la ejecución del segmento terreno del programa SPAINSAT NG dividido en cuatro lotes debido a su envergadura. GMV, que competía con las empresas más relevantes del sector, se alzó con el grueso del proyecto al presentar las mejores ofertas técnicas.
