Arellano reclama al Gobierno inversión en infraestructuras para lograr la convergencia científica de Andalucía

El consejero de Economía y Conocimiento de la Junta de Andalucía, Antonio Ramírez de Arellano ha reclamado al Gobierno central que invierta en infraestructuras de I+D en la comunidad autónoma para lograr la convergencia científica de Andalucía y erradicar el “sinsentido” de que “el grueso de los recursos acabe en Madrid y Barcelona” como ocurre en la actualidad.

Ramírez de Arellano, que ha participado en la inauguración de la sede del Instituto de la Grasa situada en la Universidad Pablo de Olavide (UPO), ha puesto estas instalaciones como ejemplo de infraestructura científica de calidad y ha recalcado que unas buenas infraestructuras científicas “permiten elevar el potencial, ser más competitivos y aumentar las sinergias” con otras instituciones y con el tejido productivo. 
 
Por ello, considera imprescindible que las inversiones en España “se hagan con cabeza”, para lo que a su juicio hay que “abrir con urgencia un proceso de diálogo en torno a la financiación de la I+D que corrija disfunciones”.
 
En este sentido, ha recordado que si recientemente Bruselas insistía en la necesidad de poner en marcha políticas para eliminar la brecha entre Norte y Sur, “más importante es impulsar la convergencia científica” dado que el conocimiento es un “valor transversal, motor de innovación, de generación de empleo de calidad y de progreso social y, como tal, debe estar al alcance de todos”.
 
Asimismo, ha lamentado la falta de inversiones en investigación e innovación, a lo que “la recuperación económica no se ha traducido en más recursos en este área y apenas se han devuelto a los Presupuesto Generales del Estado 3 de cada 10 euros recortados por el Gobierno central”. Arellano ha acusado al Ejecutivo de tratar de ocular la caída en las subvenciones con una subida de la partida asignada a préstamos, un presupuesto del que sólo se ejecutó el 20% en 2016.
